Background information: The SFI-provet was established by the Stockholm University / Centre for Research on Bilingualism and authorised by the National Agency for Education. This linguistic test corresponds to the ALTE levels 2 – 3 and covers listening; speaking; writing; reading; lexis; structure; social and cultural knowledge.

Test Sites / Results: The test can be taken at Swedish schools and institutions offering instruction in Swedish for Adult Immigrants (pass mark is 70%). Two versions of the test are published each year and dates are scheduled by the individual examination centres.

Background information: The TISUS was established by the Department of Scandinavian Languages at Stockholm University in cooperation with the Universities of Lund, Uppsala, Linköping, Gothenburg and Umeå. The TISUS is an advanced language proficiency test which corresponds to ALTE levels 4 - 5. It is accepted as an entrance requirement by all Swedish universities. The exam comprises three elements i.e. reading, writing and speaking.

Test Sites / Results / Dates: The TISUS can be taken twice a year at Swedish universites. Candidates either pass or fail and are notified within ten days.

These business certificates are available at two levels i.e. the lower level / grundnivå and the higher level / högre nivå. Candidates attempting the lower level should be capable of understanding instructions and following basic business procedures.

Test Sites / Results / Dates: The test is taken in Stockholm, during May and December, but can be held separately provided 6 or more people are available. Results are available within two weeks by e-mail or telephone.
